The company beepatrol.org LLC was established in 2016 as a beekeeping cooperative on the island of Maui, Hawaii. The company’s goal was to create a sustainable apiary and to develop beekeeping as a commercially viable seasonal organic agricultural business on Maui.
Over the past 10 years, we have had to experiment a lot with the design of the hive that is optimal for Hawaii. Currently, we manufacture hives on the island ourselves, which we use for our apiary and in projects for our clients.
Since beekeeping is a seasonal business, our employees participate in other landscaping projects. For example, we create gardens and floral compositions of high complexity that take several years to develop. It takes a few hours to plant a tree, but it takes several years to grow a garden. Similarly, with bees, to become a beekeeper requires several seasons, skill, and a love for bees.
